Had the ramp truck been mine, I might have charged them an arm and two legs and sent anything more than gas money a proper organization. (And to a repair shop 100 or more miles away.)

One Last Week Also

Did everone see the military funeral last week, small town and almost the entire town stood guard so the a..wipes couldn't even get in ? I loved it. Need more of this type of thing

I would hope that his lawyers would keep the trial in his Home town, and have him tried by a Jury of local folks, rather than a jury of people in Topeka. I will be watching for news on this case.

I hate the WBC people..I think they're a disgrace to Christianity and to the Baptist denomination and to America in general.I don't believe anything good will ever come out of that organization that calls itself a church and I wish I had the money to pay the vet's bail..

So, if soldiers die in combat because God is mad about DADT, what happens when someone finally starts shooting WBC people? Does that mean He's quite angry with them?

I can't even understand the logic.

Thank God for the Freedom Riders that usually drown out these people. God help them if they show up to a funeral with the wrong person there...

I'm not sad that they got their tires slashed, but I don't hate the WBC. That's playing their game right into their hands. My experience is people like that just want (negative) attention, so ignoring them will just kill them. And there is no logic to their views/actions, or to any 'cult'. They'll just twist everything to suit their own beliefs, no matter what.

Well that seems to be getting closer. There was a funeral this week here in Indiana. WBC said they were going to be there, seems that after a warning to bring their own body bags, they decided to go elsewhere. Media claims they decided to protest Elizabeth Edwards funeral instead. But according to local sources...........

What possible reason would they have to protest the Edward's funeral????? She was a wonderful lady all the way through the mess with her POS husband. I hope they have to walk back to their plane or however they arrived. Lord help them if they ever come this way. Bad enough and sad enough to be burying a loved one but to have some idiots running around with signs--it would be a very bad day.

I am ALL for, and on record as being ALL for, Free Speech, and Freedom of the Press, and will shed my blood to retain those things, in my life. HOWEVER, with these Freedoms comes "Responsibility", and as far as I can see, these Churchy Yahoos are not acting Responsibly, and CERTAINLY not in ANY Christian Way, I have ever heard of. Therefor, I will herby, be record, as CONDEMNING their ACTIONS, as UnChristian, and Despicable, in the extreme, and will have "No Truck" with such persons. This is my opinion, and YMMV.... but I hope is is similar...

It appears to me that WBC is an organization whose protests' central theme is centered around the sin of homosexuality. Everything spokes out like a wheel from there, however logical/illogical the connection may be to us. This is taken from the small amount of reading I've done, and I don't really care to put more time into it.

Hating sin is a good thing. Performing works to "bring yourself closer to God" is also sin, and that appears to be part of the problem. If you do your thing for men to see rather than God, you're no better off than the sinner you're railing against

Perhaps helping widows and orphans, or helping the elderly, or comforting fatally sick people with the Good News would be a better pasttime (something I should consider doing more of myself!!). But with all the national attention WBC receives, it may not pay as much...

What I can't understand is how/ why they refer to themselves as a "church" nor why the press it? They are all members of the same family brainwashed and folling the "patriarch" IMO a whacked out jim jones wanna be POS.

Well said. I would add that I can't seem to recall the place in the bible where God wanted believers to act like asses. Perhaps the WBC could help me find that passage?
