Hey I've been in a bar in Nevada too!

 

When I was in the Army our back packs with all that US issue crap we had to carry in it, weighed close to 60 lbs along with the Ammo Harness and M-16 A1 looking at closer to 70, Forced road marches of 10 and 15 miles.
I never saw Combat (Thank God) but I think your supposed to drop the rucksack to the ground when you encounter the enemy!
Some of the Gunbunnie's had to carry Mortar Plates, Glad I was an FO!

 

Ahhh... The forced marches.. I never knew until then that you literally could soak your clothes to the point of looking like you just jumped in a lake with only sweat...

 

Sorry to disabuse you, but that is everyday, working in this heat. No air in my work truck either. You just do what you need to do, and keep moving.

 

lol.. What heat ? Here in the upper Midwest it has been the chilliest summer on record. Haven't hit 90 yet this year and only a few days have seen 80... Been mostly in the 60's and 70's, with a couple days in August where it only got up to 58. WTF - Al Gore ???

Chilly, but man has it been comfortable

Water, snares, fire, clothes for the time and place, and a bit of food as needed by past experience. Arms as needed.

 

Well in il the restrictions are so bad that when shtf they will try to take them so some will procure them in a way that the gov will not know. Sort of the same situation lol

This Ebola thing could get out of control real fast here, disrupting the food supply, banking system, etc.........
These are the times we are geared up for. All those people who thought we were crazy will wish they'd have followed suit!
Waiting to see how far Patient Zero spread his package before reacting, but you can bet your A$% I will lock my property down as soon as it hits anywhere close to me!!! My dogs are a good first line of defense!
Don't forget the 3,000+ troops being sent over there to fight Ebola.
