    Thank you, not very usable for New England, but sounds like one of those semi guerilla garden plants that would be priceless in a true survival situation. In my area one such plant is cat tails, but the plant mentioned, potatoes, burdock, etc are all good candidates for survival in your own area. Any one have experience with it farther north?

    I knew about cat tails, but burdock? I thought all that was good for was, well, I don't know any thing it's good for.
