Stopped in Academy to pick up some ammo and spotted a New 22lr ammo. Labeled as Monarch, Academy's house brand. 500 round brick is $20, not bad for the amount of rounds you get. Did some poking around the net to find out where it's made. The box says Philippine, so my guess is that its made by Armscor. Definitely will be getting some next week. It should function in my semiautomatics and the bolts and revolvers should have no problem. Anyone here ever shot this ammo? Should be GTG.
Tried some a few years back. Not too bad, but seemed to be heavier fouling than Federal (my usual). Worked the action on semi rifles Glenfield and Marlin, didn't try it in the handguns. Like any other ammo, see how yours likes it
