Excellent video. Very informative.Your other videos made it look easy but this video shows that the Atlatl is hard and definite skill/ practice is necessary. Thank you.

    Question for Bishop...

Would it be possible to construct those darts with say, a 7/8" or 1" broad head attached to the point?

    Just Curious

Yes you would have to use the glue on traditional broad head and tapper the darts end or what I do is make my broad head out of band saw blades and cut a slot at the end of the dart then tie on with sinu a point can also be made out of bone or Flint.

Interesting - Thanks for the education. Never even heard of an atlatl dart before your posts.

One could assume you could also make a point out of sections of hacksaw blade as well

Unless I've missed it , could you show some close ups , and give some specs on the hand piece , length , width , slinger , whatever you call that piece ? Cool video's.

The throwing board is called a atlatl the spear is called a dart they pre date the bow and arrow by 30,000 years the big arrow heads that people find went on a atlatl dart not a arrow. The atlatl comes in All different sizes and shapes the aboriginals called them woomarang and could throw a 12 foot dart.
