My friend has one in .40, and the double-stack grip is huge on it. Must really be humongous on the .45! I like the gun, know it's a good gun, but I just like the feel of 1911's. Still I'd much rather have that than a Glock.
Yeah, same grip angle as a 1911, so no muscle memory confusion. I shot a XD in 9mm on steel, really liked it. If they're announcing it now, I might actually have some money in a year when they get on the shelves.
My hands are plenty big enough, but I've just shot so much with 1911's that the double stack feels weird. If I ever get a FN five-seven though I'll get used to it with that 20 shot mag.
9mm and .45 equally really. I have more practice with 9mm and like the higher capacity but also like the stopping power of the 45. To side step the argument, I have invested in both
I have to admit I really like the "small" .357 Sig. I might have to buy either a Sig 226 or 229 in it. Just to keep the Glock company of course........
It really is. The only problem is, the military does not use the .357, and it is not a (NATO) round, so I won't be using it.
