What year is that one ?,, not knowing a whole lot about them,, I'm gonna guess a '60s model,,,
I still need to fix mine ,, late 70s ,,I think it's the packing in tube going to the burners,, it won't turn off ,, it'll sit there and burn just like a little pilot light .

That's an AGM SunFlame Kamp Kook from around 1940.

If it really bothers you that the stove won't completely shut off you could try tinning the valve needle with solder. I just release the pressure at the cap. The flame is a safe distance away.

 

40s ,,, that's a nice old stove,, and in good shape for it's age,, shit ,, it's older than me,, and looks to be in better shape than me ,,,
I keep my old Coleman in my tool trailer ,, I would use it to cook on , or percolate a pot of coffee on when I was working at the beach.
Haven't used it since ,, it didn't bother me to bad that it leaked a little,, just something that stuck in the back of my head that I should take care of .
Winter's coming on ,, I might should start getting all that gear together and do some routine maintenance for emergency purposes.
