That's the kind of attitude the gulls have at El's Drive-in. They're patient, but relentless.

I still think the best fun with gulls is dumping a bag of popcorn under your car on a windy day where
it all blows toward the folks sitting in their cars eating lunch. All they see is a gull storm as you drive away.

Throwing them ice cubes usually makes them lose interest.

 

That sure looks like the view facing south from St. Ignace, in which case you’d probably have a sack of burgers from Clyde’s drive in. I think I can see the fort across the water, plus the 2 bird choppers west of I-75.

 

I know the spot. I've probably had a picnic in that parking lot. Last time I crossed the bridge was in the late 80's. We went up in early Spring. Zero traffic. Took lots of pictures before we realized there was no film in the camera.

Time before that I was on a bicycle both ways in June and July 1979. They won't let you ride a bicycle across the Mackinac or the International bridge. Have to stop in town and call for a ride. Very nice bicycle transport service.

 

Well, you can come up and walk the bridge on Labor Day! Not sure about bikes, but I’ve heard of antique tractors and classic cars going across in parades.
