Once after riding my motorcycle to work, I get on the elevator. An older woman stares at me (6'4"), in my black nylon rainpants (over my office pants), my armored leather riding jacket, gloves and boots, and my black helmet. She asks, "Why are you wearing all that?"

46% that they know of. How did they reach that estimate? I was making .22 zip guns in Detroit when I was ten. Did they count "registered" guns?
We don't do that around here. NICS? Haven't had to have a purchase called into NICS in more than thirty years.

I suspect that like 56% of all statistics, that UN estimate was just pulled out of thin air, just like my 56% was.
