Sure do took wood shop, metal shop and mechanical drafting

 

we had a neighboring office that ran their router as new out of the box, with default password. I changed the name to something like "NOBODY TAUGHT ME SECURITY" and when they noticed, they had it restored to default. Still didn't set a password.

 

Trusting idiots, aren't they?

 

In high school in the early 1970s, I took wood shop, metal shop and typing. On of the PE coaches taught typing as the teacher was out on maternity leave. I got to typing faster than he could.
In my senior year, I took the whole last semester at the airport in the Vo-Tech school's Aircraft Mechanics General class. That was instrumental in my joining the USAF after graduating. That final semester I only set foot on HS grounds to get my Senior Class picture taken. And Mom had to force me to do that.
My typing is still pretty slow.

 

I got a D- in Mrs Hantel's typing class. I took typing and Hone Economics because there were lots of girls in those classes. Last half of my senior year I never left the Industrial Arts complex. Math teacher, Mr Edson, would bring my math homework down to the drafting classroom and I'd do it at lunch or at home. My whole day was in wood shop, metal shop, auto shop and small engine shop. I've been in shops ever since.

My typing speed matches the speed I speak, words don't form in my head any faster than I can get them down on a screen. I'm sure Mrs Hantel wouldn't approve, but it's been working for me for a long time.

 

Very similar to me , All the classes with girls in the last schools (HS , B4 was boys/men Military school).

My Dad was at the Co-op and saw a display like this and got the one he didn't get when he was a kid. I still have that Red Ryder.
