    The original Batmobile was a Lincoln platform - the "Futura" showcar. But, basically a Ford. And pretty clapped out by the time Barris got it to make the Batmobile. I've seen videos where it is reported to have been a real sluggard to drive, brakes barely worked, uncomfortable and with lousy driver visability. But it sure looked cool to us kids in the 1960s! And I still like it's looks better than any other Batmobile. (y)
