    Motorist Runs Down Crowd of Protesting Students in Paris
    Friday, April 07, 2006

    PARIS — A motorist drove through a crowd of protesting students Friday on Paris' Left Bank, injuring at least seven people.

    The students were protesting the government's new youth jobs law, which has sparked weeks of demonstrations.

    Firefighters said seven people were injured.

    Afterward, the students overturned the motorist's car and tried to kick its windows out before police intervened.
