anyone have any experience or opinions on the mulea bowies
I have only seen the small knives that sort of resemble very nice steak knives. They seem nice, but I did not want to spend what they were asking for those.
Over time I have found I prefer spear point / semi clip points on any of my big knives. Think becker bk9 or condor kumunga for examples.
I have heard that muela makes good steel however if that helps.
As for usefulness, I have no way of knowing what you want to accomplish with the blade, but if a bowie fills those needs for you then assuming the price is right I think you would find the steel was good.
I have a good many bowies from 6 inch up to around 14 inches. If I have a bowie I prefer at least a 9 inch blade, more is better for the uses I would put such a design to.
If you are asking for a big knife recommendation then the two above are the high and low priced ones I suggest / have.
