My Hand vs the Table Saw

    Interesting, I've never heard of a featherboard but it would help with what I cut, which is 5" long blocks into 3/8" wide handle material.

    push sticks and feather boards are the ONLY way to go.

    Woohoo! Today the doc said 2 more weeks in the finger splint and then use it as normal!

    Today is the last day with the splint! As of tomorrow I can use it normally, but it won't bend and it's still crooked as the tendon did not grow back. Still I plan to ride my Valk and get back to knifemaking!

    For what you are doing a featherboard is a must, even then you need to be careful of kickbacks. However, at least if it happens you'll just end up with a piece of wood in your face or chest, certainly better than loosing body parts.

    A crooked finger has it's place [peep]

    i have been making cabinets for 27 years please only make push sticks out of plywood they dont kick back

    How would you place them in order from most dangerous to least?
    The above is my take.
