I have a few more (I know I do someplace) but this is about it for semi-auto's that I actually will use.
But these were not. The picture was taken on my bar in my bedroom (weird I know but when I had the addition put in I wanted a dry bar).
Wow. A woman that loves 1911's, has numerous ones, has craftsman tools, likes knives and a bar in her bedroom.
Well now we can't say that all of those handguns are 1911's. I do have to say that the top right is my Beretta 92F police gun that was my dad's. No he wasn't a cop but a prosecuting attorney. It's a safe queen though. Too few rounds through it to go out and just shoot and you just don't see the 92F's that often. However, push comes to shove it's never failed me so it would be my standby and the rounds are easy to come by (one of the reasons I like is because it held 15 rounds). Anybody know where I can find some more stock issue Beretta mags out of Italy? The American mags aren't worth cr*p.
Story of my life, day late and a dollar short. Ah well, no biggie. I've got 3 and a couple of aftermarket one's that work okay. Plus 2 30 round Beretta mags (no I have no clue where I got those either but they work).
Here's a SA Mil-Spec I did a bunch of work on: 10mm Kimber: Kimber Custom Compact with dragon grips: My carry gun, Kimber Compact CDP: Colt NRM with Colt medallion grips and new extended safety: Ruger .454 Casull with Bushnell 1.5x4 scope:
Wow, I really like that Mil-Spec, man that is nice. So clean, so nice. The grips looks really sharp too. Tell us what all you did to it, beavertail, new hammer I assume, what else?
On the Mil-Spec I did my first and only gunsmithing, buying a ton of tools and parts from Brownells. I ground the frame and installed the beavertail, then replaced the ILS (Idiot Locking System) with all new parts. Replaced the hammer, hammer spring, sear, disconnector and sear spring with a C&S Tactical Match 4.5# Trigger Pull kit, and they were out of Videcki triggers so I got a Wilson Long Ultralight Trigger. Then I decided to try a Wilson recoil system with guide rod and shok-buffs so I pit that stuff in. I stoned all surfaces so everything worked smooth, and also replaced the safety with an extended one after taking that pic. I bought VZ Grips for it and the 10mm Kimber and they're great. This gun shoots great!
Man, only on a gun board would people drool over a $300 gun and totally ignore the $7k watch! Yea, I guess it ain't a great pic of the Rolex.
