They live about a half mile from me... http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/news-article.aspx?storyid=48893 Couple Aboard Ship Attacked by Pirates Returns to Fanfare By Lindy Thackston First Coast News AMELIA ISLAND, FL -- Modern day pirates attacked the cruise ship "Seabourn Spirit" early last month off the coast of Somalia. 90-year-old Clyde Noll and his wife Jean were of Amelia Island were aboard the ship. The couple continued on their journey for another month. They returned home this week to some fanfare. Their friends in Osprey Village threw a welcome home party in true pirate fashion, many wearing eye patches and parrots on their shoulders. The couple talked to First Coast News about their adventure. "We didn't know anybody even knew about it until our kids started e-mailing us to see if we were ok," said Jean Noll. The couple stayed in the restaurant on the lowest level of the ship for an hour as the pirates fired grenades and assault rifles at the ship. After the attack was over, they took pictures of the damage to the Seabourn Spirit. The couple travels each year on a cruise. They say next year's cruise will be to Canada. First Coast News
