Mythbusters sniper shot through the scope?

    My buddy saw that episode of mythbusters and called it BS. They used a .223 not the .30-06 that Hathcock used. The test was not up to snuff.

    Actually, if I am not mistaken Gunny Hathcock primarily used a .308 in a 700 Rem. with a Unertl scope. I would have to check my copy of "Marine Sniper" to be absolutely sure though.

    he used a Winchester Model 70 sniper rifle chambered in .30-06 in service
    A M2 scoped 50 BMG for his 2500 yard NVA score

    Carlos shot his state side competitions and won medals with the .300 win mag.
