I think this is a fine standard for this thread. I do respect the direction here, and let's all agree that two days will be the accepted norm for a plant to hang for discovery, after which time the thread may continue onward with another posting if the current member has not revealed the plant.

Great stuff. Let's do a few easier ones. We don't have to do corn, but uh...you know. :)

Sorry. I forget what is commonplace in my region is Greek to others.

    How about dis?

Perennial, evergreen (zone 7 and hotter if outdoors) herb found worldwide. Edible and medicinal uses for leaves, stems and flowers. Insignificant white or blue flowers depending on variety that attract bees and butterflies. Comes in upright and prostrate forms.

And the win goes to @Quigley_Sharps!

And as an added tidbit, you can easily propagate rosemary by cutting off new tips, leaving a bit of old wood at the bottom, and sticking them in water. It takes for-EV-r for the roots to appear, but they will. :)

They are not gooseberries, guys. Think higher up on the food chain.

This also grows up in New Hampshire, Maine, and even in parts of Canada like Quebec. I think this is named after the animal who loves eating them!

    Red ____berry
    Alpine ____berry
    Common ____berry
    Black ____berry

    Come on!
