Perennial, comes in shrub, tree, and herbaceous plant form. Widespread in the northern hemisphere. Bears small black, blue-lack, or red berries in late spring, early summer. The berries are popular for making jam, syrup and wine, however the berries and most of the plant are poisonous if not cooked. It is also used for treating flue, easing allergies, and helping the respiratory system. It is also said to provide protection from witches. :D

Ehhh.... kinda looks like Coltsfoot or Calendula but they're not vines. Or.... well Coltsfoot isn't a vine but it spreads with underground roots like Bermuda. So kinda vinelike. I'll go with Coltsfoot.

    Barring that I got nothing.

Yep, Coltsfoot, or Tussilago. Im in WV and mine does vine. Wonder if theres different varieties? Given some sun and water it will run 30 feet along a road or ditch, and will root along the length in a damp area.

Description: This plant grows up to 1.8 meters tall. It has leaves clustered at the base
of the stem and some leaves on the stem. The base leaves resemble those of the
dandelion. The flowers are sky blue and stay open only on sunny days. It has a
    milky juice.

Habitat and Distribution: Look for this plant in old fields, waste areas, weedy lots, and
along roads. It is a native of Europe and Asia, but is also found in Africa and most of
North America where it grows as a weed.

Edible Parts: All parts are edible. Eat the young leaves as a salad or boil to eat as a
vegetable. Cook the roots as a vegetable. For use as a coffee substitute, roast the
roots until they are dark brown and then pulverize them.

This plant should be harvested before it get knee high. It can purify blood, stop bleeding inside and out. Treat allergies, primarily hay fever. Can be cooked and eaten, and contains high protein levels.
