Thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself. I became interested in emergency preparedness a number of years ago, I suppose you might say I was already prepping and didn't realize it even before that as I've worked for years now in the security field. Decided to take up hiking a couple of years ago as a means of personal fitness and set a life goal to hike the AT. I've been steadily increasing my load out and distance traveled since that time. Outside of that as mentioned I work security and I'm involved in the local CERT organization. I will likely do more lurking than posting, posting to ask questions mainly.
