New to the site...love it so far. Have always loved the outdoors, but really enjoy being hands on and trying to be more self sufficient as possible. Just finished reading this book for about the 10th time...really causes one to repose and focus on 'want' vs. 'need'. One of my favorite reads of all time. Amazon.com: One Man's Wilderness: An Alaskan Odyssey (Annivers (9780882405131): Sam Keith, Richard Proenneke: Books I'll work on getting my profile filled out, but for now just wanted to introduce myself. I'm an avid hunter and outdoorsman, I take great pride in processing all my own harvested game. I also try to grow a great deal of what I consume and strive to leave the smallest footprint on the earth I tread. I recently started making and heat treating my own knives and in turn tried my hand at making and sewing sheaths as well. Hope to learn a lot great deal on this site. Jon My first few knives and sheaths (the sheath on the right still needed formed and treated)
Uh Oh...knives. There goes my budget. Again. Welcome Jon, and if you get that "want vs need" thing figured out? Let me know how to do it as well, please? Enjoy..and look forward to seeing more...
