I have decided to go ahead and get a new phone as I hope to retire at the end of this year. I have decided I want ruggedized, waterproof, bigger battery, and it needs to be 5G. I don't live on the thing but use it mostly as...a phone. I do take a picture once in a while or look something up on the net, but no social media or banking apps and damn sure not tapping it on the credit card machine to pay for stuff. What do you guys have that you're happy with?
NO to Motorola . Its a POS with to many things and every update they do (you have no control) It changes crap !! My apple was always the same , But the CAF sent this one to use . Slow Sloth
Yep ,, I've been wondering if there's a phone that isn't connected to the .gov, world . Just a freeking phone ,,,
Just buy trac phones with say 60 minutes. leave 10 minutes on it and 'accidentally' drop it off at a bus stop. Then get a new phone like every other month or when ever you use up most of the 60 minutes. That way, if someone ponies up for more minutes and you were doing some nefarious stuff and were initially tracked ... well, it'll be tracking someone else when they triangulate the phone. Also, don't use the phone in your AO. Drive a few towns over .. hell maybe even a couple of counties. also pay cash. But that's if you are wanting to play with the watchers. Anyway, the folks have cricket phones just basic flip and semi-smart phone, and have a digital camera for pics. I'll bet dad hasn't used 20 minutes on his phone in the last year and has never sent a text.
