And just wanted to stop in and introduce myself.... Still getting used to navigating around here, but getting better... Living in an area where the possibility of having to get out exists from June to November....(you got it..right on the east coast, on a barrier island , no less.. ) this information is fantastic! Oh yeah..I'm Connie...and looking forward to learning and participating... Thanks!!! and a dumb newbie question...How come I can't see my avatar? What did I do wrong?
Welcome aboard. Glad to see your looking into it and if you have questions on anything you dont see info on by all means ask, theres probably someone here that knows and we're all here to learn from each other. As far as the avatar, I would be the wrong one to ask as Im pretty well technologicly amish, but melbo and some of them should be along and can help you with that part.
Connie, Very good to see you at this site. Hope you find lots of information that helps you. Feel free to join in as much or as little as you see fit. I can say that the folks here are top notch (okay a few of us are missing a few marbles - but then again it takes that to live in this world these days)!
So good to see you , again.... and people that are missing a few marbles are the ones I count among my closest friends.....
I love it Connie, absolutely love it! And anytime you have a problem figuring something out - all you have to do is ask. We're here to help (oh wait ... that would mean we might actually have to actually do some work...oh horrors of all horrors)!!!
Welcome Connie! Your avatar reminds me it's time to go make my 4-shot icy drink! After that I'm and good to go make knives.
Without espresso I doubt any knives would be made, but I just had my 4-shot drinksoI'mreallyreallyreadynow!
Never will forgetthe time I watched a guy OD on cafiene at a coffee shop once. Apparently wasnt used to much cafiene and came in and in the course of a couple hours had IIRC at least 5 of the drinks they called 'Crowbars'. They were like 4 double shots of espresso and the same of dark choclate syrup, they filled the quart glasses. Never knew it could hapen until then...
That was also a LOT more cafiene than you would get from normal coffee and he was just downing 'em, so in general whould have to say not a big worry.
I was in Miami once....(and that was enough , trust me).... and this Cuban lady kept offering me coffee...and of course I said yes...She said "You want American coffee or Cubano coffee"...so I asked for Cubano.. It's in tiny cups like espresso...and I just downed it..they all kept looking at me waiting for me to break out either in a sweat, or break dancing , I reckon... I just smiled and said.... "May I have another, please?" We were great friends after that....
Hi there CRC. Glad you found your way into our jungle. Your avatar may be too big. It can be any larger than 150 x 150 pixels and 34kb
Hmmm...Let me know..I right clicked, then checked out the Properties..and it says 100x100 pixels..If that is not within the parameters of what the board accepts, please let me know.... Thanks......! And everyone? Thanks for the Welcome! Already making notes and a shopping list....This site is great!
