No big deal because TOYOTA has been selling Diesels for years in the rest of the world. The Tacoma Diesel is a main stay in OZZ.

So just why all the Hopala Nissan teases diesel power for the next Frontier | Motoramic - Yahoo Autos about testing etc?

For those not in tune with foreign trade, be aware that there is a 25% tariff in the small truck import biz. One reason Toyota (my Opinion) has never imported the Diesel Toyota.

YMMV and we may see an honest NISSAN truck build line in the US soon.

Toyota cant bring in the diesel because it wont alter it to USDOT emissions restriction

It is too easy to mod to unrestricted and makes the powers in charge upset
