if the international trade ban goes into effect their would be a glut of firearms on the market that the producers wouldn't be able to ship abroad. This would lead to LOWER prices in the short run as they would have more guns than needed for the American market. The producers would want to move their product so they wouldn't have to shut down or stint production at their factories. This would be cool for about 6 months, that is, until everyone buys what they can because they know it wont be around in the future.

This is one of those situations where causality and economics don't really meet.

I read from a reliable source that treaties submitted to the U.S. Senate require approval of two-thirds of Senators present to be ratified. Wonder what happens if it's brought to the floor at 0200 hours when most against it are absent and the few there are for ratification and two-thirds of them vote in favor of it.)

What a joke...no one else would ever comply with a treaty like this. This is plainly aimed at disarming the U.S.
