Obama's Jedi-fu is weak, I still want to buy guns and ammo!

It is sickly humorous how gun grabbers stumble all over themselves trying to pretend they are sympathetic and reasonable, all the while they are organizing a gang rape. He is so pathetic in his attempt to be one of the guys. He does not own a gun nor has he shot one or his staff and fawning press would trot it out as proof. He doesn't even have a phony photo op picture to show.

Rog on the custom; the symbolism has a European flavor.

The M4.16 etc have the sweetest ergonomics on the planet.

Anytime a politician says "Sensible" or "Reasonable", you can bet he does NOT mean it the way we mean it! The problem is, in crafting 'laws', they get to define the wording.

..." in crafting 'laws', they get to define the wording"... exactly. And you can bet their wording is loaded with "double speak". Am just sick of the whole mess. Our founding fathers would take a whip and clean the hill out. Not a bad idea today. If just one incumbent goes back in then we have failed this next election in educating folks.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of federal background checks for firearm sales declined last month following a surge in gun sales toward the end of the year that's left many retailers out of stock as Washington considered new gun control measures.
An Associated Press analysis of new FBI data published early Tuesday shows the National Instant Criminal Background Check system processed more than 2.78 million checks in December. That was a 12-month peak following an upward trend through last fall. The number fell to 2.48 million in January, still greater than any other month last year.
Firearms sales exploded around the country in the wake of the deadly December shooting spree in Newton, Conn., that left 27 dead, mostly children. The rush to buy guns has left many retailers out of stock.
"You can't do a background check if a guy doesn't have a gun to buy," said Mike Fotia, manager at Duke's Sport Shop in New Castle, Pa. "There's nothing to buy."
Fotia said manufacturers and wholesalers can't fill orders right now because demand is so high.
The number of background checks does not represent the number of firearms purchased, but gun manufacturers use these statistics to measure the health of the gun industry in the U.S.
The 10 percent drop between December and January comes amid a fierce national debate on gun control after the horrific school shooting in Newtown. The number of background checks dropped 26 percent during the same time period a year earlier. Sales typically decrease in January after the holiday shopping rush is over.
Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi saw the largest declines in background checks from December to January, by about one-third.

Sales may be decreasing in some areas but not around here--the shelves get emptied quickly and ammo faster. Wait till late summer/fall and these knee jerk folks will be selling them at half the price paid.

I can't wait for this, I'm gonna clean up if it happens. I'll stop buying when my safe runs out of room.

Well, DPMS Inc. can't build theirs fast enough, to keep ahead of the increasing Backorders, and I suspect they are NOT alone, in that regard.....

Fulton Armory isn't taking orders either.

A gun shop in Southern Pines, NC has 6,000 ARs on back order (that is six K). Hard to believe but that is a resort area and folks there have a bit of usable cash.

Makes me wish I hadn't traded off some weird calibers over the years as those seem to be the only ones still available around my ao.

Well as much as it pains me to agree with Obummer (and that is a LOT!) I agree that people should not go out and buy guns. They SHOULD go out and BUY AMMO!! Guns will last hundreds of years (I saw 600 year old guns in Europe) but ammo is only used once (or reloaded a few times) and it is GONE! The word from "gun with out ammo" in the English language is CLUB! How many people have one or two or thirty guns and two or three boxes of ammo? MOST from what I've seen! Many of the deer hunters seem to have one box they bought four years ago and consider that plenty if they have four rounds left. So.....what do they do when ammo is banned and they have a rifle and no ammo left?

Yeah, odd ball ammo is the only stuff I can find locally unless I go to the (very) high priced gun store where they didn't get hit at all as the stuff was already jacked up to post-ban prices three years ago and still is.

Sales are only declining because there is nothing to be had. If there was more stuff in stock, then sales would be through the roof at record levels.
