As the Cuban Government continues to block radio communication between amateurs, notably on 40 meters, I propose that all licensed amateurs engage in an AM ragchew on 40 meters between 7.205 and 7.295, using AM phone, Transmissions shall be ideally on multiples of 5kHz, with due care to avoid intentional interference with other stations. The ARRL recommended AM calling frequency is 7.290, but the idea is to get ragchews going across the upper part of 40 meters to allow Cubans who may not have anything but low-tech AM receivers to listen to amateur transmissions on the broadcast section of 40 meters. Call "CQ Cuba Libre" and once you have a contact with another station, the two stations should discuss what each station knows about current events in Cuba, the state of the jamming effort as heard at your location, and other relevant information on current events, demonstrations, etc. This avoids violating the FCC rule against broadcasting while at the same time allowing the Cuban people listening information about current events in Cuba. Repeats by a receiving station of the reports sent by another serve to ensure that the reports are being transmitted accurately. They will also serve to maximize the ability of Cuban listeners to hear the information. Take your time and speak slowly and distinctly.
I would call on ALL Monkeys that have 40Meter capability, to support this cause, with their on-Air time and resources…If Biden had any brains at all he would be setting up a High Power WIFI Site at GITMO, and feed it via the fiber underwater DOD cable from the states, with all the ANTI-Commie Propaganda he could muster… and smuggle in a whole pile of Wifi mesh repeaters and get the info spread all across Cuba.. But I fear he and all his minions just aren’t that smart…
I don't see how this is going to help if the frequencies are jammed. All that it will accomplish is to fill up the band...it almost sounds like a ploy to increase interference, to include using AM (which uses more spectrum in itself). Not sure where this alledged jamming is happening on 40...nothing showing on the bandscope last night, yet propogation seems good,

The real reason is they obviously do not want to do anything that might hurt the Cuba communist government as even some Democratic members of Congress have shown support for it. Hell, they are in-your-face members of the Socialist/Communist party! Besides, having Cuba continue under Communist and dictator oppression definitely has it's uses...and has for many, many years for both parties, Republican and Democrat. Hell, they are a rock throw from our coastline and we haven't done anything truly positive to support them since the Bay of Pigs...yet we run all over the world supporting other whacko countries, shooting our mouths and guns off.
There is a lot at play in Cuba. If we march in there Russia will too, and probably China. This may be the biggest international issue our country is facing right now and we're stuck with an administration who is ill equipped and unwilling to assist Cuba. This uprising against communism will sadly play itself out with nothing of substance being accomplished.
