Dead tan grass and Grey brush make up the year round color scheme here. Greens explode in spring, die in summer, pop back in fall, and die in winter. Dead grass is always there. Coyote and amazingly ACU work pretty well
Coyote Shit Brown and Grey are my go to colors, I keep several gallons of Mil Surplus paint cans around, just in case I need to quickly paint something, especially something large enough to need a few gallons to completely cover!
Marine Marpat camo will make you invisible here. It's like it was made for coastal SC. I scored some beat to hell uniforms at Saigon Sam's a few years back, $20 for a box mostly with tears. Good for cutting up to place over things.
I once painted my 2005 KLR650 Dualsport motorcycle in OD/Brown camo. But when I was camping out in the woods here in North Florida, I noticed that this camo as well as the old Woodland Camo of my BDUs was far too noticible. Too "intense" I guess. Testing various camo colors/patterns, I found that MARPAT and the ACU camo are much closer to blending in here, and Treebark in certain areas.
