Parvo - VACCINATE YOUR PUPS

I'd happily sleep beside them in a pool of vomit and poop if that's what it took to keep them both alive and well through this.
Vet bill crossing the $3000 mark today...applied for $2000 loan to cover additional hospital days.

Hydration is EVERYTHING with parvo...
I had to trick Slacker into drinking the baby pedialyte....even though it's clear he didn't like the taste and i didn't want to stress him by forcing it on him with a syringe....

He likes to steal the cats food.....so i filled a bowl 1/2 full of pedialyte and started dropping bits of kitty kibble into it so that he HAD to drink if he wanted the cats food...hehe.

Worked on Slack but prolly won't on Hose...he's uh...my dog and much more stubborn.

 

Hoser is lucky to have the whole Monkey support team pulling for him!!!

Prayers sent, For some of us, doggies are our family.

Im not a fan of vac's & avoid most for my dogs but that is one I do get them as pups. the risk of Parvo itself are far worse than any risk from the vacc.

 

Officially adopted Hoser and Slacker as the Monkey Dogs!

 

Just got back from vet before they lock down for the night.
No improvement.
No financing to go beyond tomorrow in hospital without some sign of a willingness to live.
Preparing for loss, hope is slipping away but trust in the Lord has never been stronger.

Prayers for you and your pups. Parvo is awful. Praying they make it. You are giving them the very best of care and love. My heart hurts for you. My pets are the SME as my children. Hugs.

 

My heart felt prayers Brother! Many of us are serious dog lovers here as this tread attests! I sincerely hope Hoser pulls through this, I really do! Man and Dog were meant to be together, the second best thing man ever did for him self was domesticate the dog, and for that we are forever bound to each other!!!!

 

This makes my heart hurt.

I wrote Hosers eulogy with a Game of Thrones theme.

He came to us from Bellingham USA and took the Red in Maple Ridge.
He was a catfood thief, a mole hunter,a shoelace chewer, a mud jumper and an escape artist.
His name was Hoser, he was a good dog of the Redneck Watch and never failed in his duty.
We shall never see his like again.
And now his watch is ended.
