I wonder if he realizes that the right person with the right tooling can make this into a gun...

I wont start about how to make zip guns...

in which a piece of 2x4 can be construed as a lower....

Car antennas and screen door springs aren't as easy to obtain as they once were. ;)

    It gets worse.....
    A. 22LR will fit nicely inside the valve stem of a Chevy smallblock V8. Cut each end off, instant gun barrel!

So if a person has finished their 80% lower, it is not covered by the law?

Nope. But it's yours and only yours, unless you number it. As for PA. no clue.

How about numbering it in a date format?

As long as it's unique, you're good to go. (At least for now ---)

I doubt the significance of that date would even be noticed. The whole serial numbering thing in my world is simply to keep matching parts with the gun they fit. With millions and millions of guns it's wishful thinking that you'll create a "unique" serial number. Suppose there are three guys who think it's cute to use 8675309 (and insist that it's not "...nine" but "ny-yine.") They could even claim that they got the number from a girl named Jenny who wrote it on the wall.
