Cousin Jack raffled this off last night: The members of SM have decided to give this knife to phishi, our friend and medic who just had a pretty major surgery for a 31 yr old: He'll be laid up for 5-6 weeks while his abdominal muscles heal and will be very bored. I'm sending him a bunch of books Send a PM to Cousin Jack and he'll include your 'well wishes' in the package. Nothing any of us wouldn't do melbo. Had I know phishi had surgery again already I would of done the same (that is had I won). You just beat me to it... Thank you from me for doing it. It'll be a great moral booster for him.
Yeah, he kept it a little quiet. But I don't feel bad for talking about it as he's a very open guy and would have told us all about it when he got back. I just wanted to do something for him from all of us and this is the perfect time.
Let us know if there is anything he needs or wants besides our prayers and good wishes which are a given. We may be pretty scattered around the country but never so far away that we can't be lend a hand to a friend in need.
UPDATE The mass was a Mature Teratoma. Which means not very malginant. No chemo, no radiation. Might be getting out of the hospital tonight.

Down time is gonna suck...I know about down time...Sitting around for 10 hours a day watching the Wiggles, Kim Possible, ESPN, animal planet etc. is enough to drive a guy crazy. Although, I think Kim Possible is hot....
