Jury nullification in DC, that's funny. Have the people that said that ever been to DC?

DC is federal property. Any laws that are violated are a federal offence.

 

That's not correct. DC has it own laws and courts.

For example it is against the law in DC to posses an empty casing from a handgun round.

Part of DC (the actual mall, capitol grounds, white house) is federal, but all the roads and the rest of the city is what they call "home rule".

They make up their own rules in DC. That is why we have the Heller case.

Yes they are. But and a big but, congress gave them almost blanket authority to control their own government. Home rule.

The way the federal law is worded there is very little the federal government can do to control the city government.

On paper there is oversight but it takes actual action by the congress to overrule what the DC government does. Getting a majority of congress to do that is usually impossible.

 

Hell, most impossible the get congress to get together for a circle _________...

Which is why DC gets to trash the Constitution at will.

The funny part is that Congress actually wrote into the "home rule" law language that limits the height of buildings.

That is correct our elected representatives were more worried about the view from their offices than they were the constitution.

Home rule started in 73 I believe.
