quarter size hail, shear winds as well... fortunately for me the twisters are up sappers way...

 

Total of 8 tornados in eastern NC with 5 in our AO... hail quarter to golf ball size... straight line winds and wind shear in the area
Power out in several areas...

Replaced a damaged stock gate(pictures at 11), picking up now and hope it all goes past me.

Now to put all the vehicles under cover.

 

That vinegar based stuff???? Yuck. Give me good ol' Texas sauce.... yum

 

I'll have you know there are two different types of BBQ sauce made here... a piedmont sauce (red/tomato based) and the eastern Vinegar based... I make pretty good versions of both... and I'll put mine up against any "Texas" based BBQ sauce any day...

 

I have had way too much eastern sauce. I will quietly sit and chow down on my spicy Texas bbq sauce and leave the Nawth Carolina vinegar to those who have no taste, lol

 

I appreciate BBQ in all it's regional forms. Memphis, Kansas City, the Carolinas, Texas Hill Country and East Texas (there's a difference!) and Alabama/Georgia.

Sorry, no storm pics. The damage was from the cattle just being cattle and I needed to replace the gate before the storm, which never happend yet, so the cattle stayed put in case of high winds.

 

Winds kicking up, gust to 40 and more to come.

Good thing I did the gate replacement.

I'll show the wind and a prayer of the old gate later. I did take pictures of it tied to the gate post which looked normal and then it hanging by a prayer as I opend it. I'll need to check the fence lines tonight, about 6000 feet of fencing, for fallen trees and branches. Drought has caused more trouble than city folks could imagine.

 

No rain here but also no Tornado!
