President Obama

This just in: White House construction crews are working feverishly to hollow out the president's podium so that there is room inside the podium for Charles Gibson and other ABC anchors to perform fellatio on President Obama while he does the news for them. According to the president, it is only the truth if he says so, Gibson and others bobbed their heads in agreement.

I do my best not to watch any national news. It just pissed me off and I get loud and hateful, my wife is not amused by my behavior either, and the kids look at me like I am a neanderthal. So I do my best to skip anything having to do with Osama on TV.

Interesting discussion. Maybe I can interject a little here.

My parents fled Cuba before I was born. I was born here in the US about 5 years after they fled Cuba. My parents left Cuba in late '62. Castro was already in power since '59 if memory serves me correctly. I grew up listening to the stories and I really became interested in how communism takes root and begins and how people can be duped into giving up their freedom.

As my father was in college and later an accountant for a major bank in Cuba, there was always debate as to whether or not Castro was indeed a communist or a tyrant. There were people that thought he was a great guy. There were those that thought he was a communist. The Cuban currency was devalued.. later replaced. Government found ways to take over private business operations. (bell should be going off) My grandfather lost a fleet of commercial fishing boats. (can't have that money leave the shores you know)... Does any of this sound vaguely familiar?

I have been saying for the last 5 years that government will look for ways to take over healthcare, manufacturing and banking to start. It's already happening. Once they control these sectors (everything runs on credit in the US), they effectively have you by belt buckle.

By the way, how much of the total GDP of this nation are those sectors? I think if you look at how much money overall and how large a portion of the GDP of the United States those various industries are, you'll get a picture that is sobering and frightening.

Healthcare is a big chunk. But let's step aside from the control issue for a moment. Healthcare. Freedom is you taking your money and buying the insurance policy and healthcare coverage you want. Over the last number of years, both parties have been pushing for mandates and legislation to force insurance providers to cover more and more things on the policies they offer. This drives the cost of insurance upward. So do the huge costs of medical malpractice insurance as we've become lawsuit happy. Care to guess what party supports the trial lawyer lobby and vice versa? Once the cost of insurance is so high people are complaining about it, they are willing to turn it over to our illustrious leaders to "fix" the problem. You then turn your liberty over to the government freely without their needing to put a gun to your head to take it. It's a proverbial Greek Tragedy.

Without Fannie and Freddie or that nice little piece of legislation called the CRA, we wouldn't be in this financial crisis now. Who pushed that? The left in America. ACORN. Who tried to reform it in 2005? Republicans. Who blocked it? Democrats... and on a party line vote with the now famous speech from Barney Frank and Maxine Waters about how absolutely fine Fannie and Freddy were and that Republicans were on a witch hunt. We see now how wrong they were and yet no one is talking about that.

Now Republicans are not blameless either. They're only a few steps behind the Democrats and both parties have been selling America out for their own benefit.

There's so much more that needs to be said, but government is not helping big corporations right now. They are working to control them. The same goes for the banks. Imagine credit as a weapon! If you don't toe the party line of those in power, you might just lose that line of credit you need for your business.

Think about this. The stimulus is bogus. It's a crony reward program. We spend more time researching and learning about an appliance than these bozos did in putting together this legislation and they want to do it again with the huge tax increase bill that is called "cap and trade" and then healthcare. Folks... this needs to stop! Get on the horn with your representatives and tell them to stop the insane spending and restore the rights of the States and to stop the out of control power grab at the Federal level.

I emailed everybody that I knew the post that Loansharkx wrote. I thought it was a very eloquent way of expressing how many of us feel but cannot articulate well. Well done.

 

Seriously, Quigley, you don't see the propogandist slant to that entire rant? If one is to argue for, or against, Obama's stand on whatever, those things should be evaluated objectively, not from the framing that Hannity would give them.

Just briefly scanning over that, we see standing out in big bold letters I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation; ( THE CONSTITUTION DEFINES US CHRISTIAN.)

I will respond with the truth....... NO IT DOES NOT! Read it for yourself, it's freely available online, nowhere in our constitution is the word god, jesus, christianity, or even creator. It's a matter of historical record that most of our founding fathers we're deists, not christian.


What part of that isn't clear?

 

Assuming your talking about the first sentence of your post (rather than the preamble to the constitution, yes, the first sentence says even though you don't agree with it 100%...... but a lot of it. So instead of waiting for clarification of exactly which points you do and do not agree with, I'm naturally going to poke a hole in the most glaring falsehood of the piece.

Wether or not you agree with the christianity argument specifically, do you not see the slanted underpinnings of the entire piece?

 

The current President, aided by an astoundingly left-wing Congress, has increased the influence and power of the federal government in the domestic auto industry, the banking industry, and now, the health care industry to unprecedented proportions with no reassurances of a disengagement or "exit strategy" to return them back to predominately capitalist private ownership.

So it is not government rescuing financially distressed segments of our society until they are able to stand on their own. It looks, sounds and smells like a long-term, if not permanent takeover. In so doing he has demonstrated short shrift to the Law of the Land, our Constitution, and the spirit of Liberty that so ably gives life and prosperity to capitalism, our economic system.

The current President has sought to snub our traditional world allies at every opportunity while symbolically "kissing the rings" of South American dictators and muslim Arabic state potentates, most of whom continue to support the al Qaida / Tali-Ban extremists who hate the USA.

Finally, the current President has neglected to resolve the most important crisis looming before our country--the weakening strength of the dollar due to inflation--by promoting new national spending programs that drive us even further into debt, shaking the confidence of creditor nations to the point where we now depend upon the Federal Reserve (a private corporation) to print money in return for our "markers" with interest due, of course.

His policies are very predictable. Any segment of our economy / society that is still relatively strong, he will weaken through taxation, executive orders, and by stirring the mainstream mass media attacks to a high pitch, attempting to control public sentiment (insurance industry). His techniques, temperment, and egotism are tried and proven by history's demagogues. He exhorts his followers by charismatically appealing to their emotions and not to educated reason. He fans the flames of entitlement expectations among his supporters to a zombie-like mantra until there is no spirit of country and pride of citizenship--only a spirit of partition and division to take from those who have.

The current President is the Great Divider at a time when our society can ill afford the division. Is he evil? Is he muslim? Does he really love this country? I will defer that to God. He does know. As for me, if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, but talks like a swan; it's still a duck.

 

Is Obama a Muslim? Well I guess it depends on how you look at it. The previous post about walking like a duck, looking like a duck, and quacking like a duck holds true as far as I am concerned, but if you are not convinced, consider the following article.

If you check Obama's last trip over seas, his wife left just after their visit to France as stated below. She has yet to accompany him to any Arab country. Think about it. This was sent to me from a very good and reliable friend. The pieces of the puzzle just keep on coming together!

I was at a Blockbusters renting videos, and as I was going along the wall, there was a video called "Obama". There were two men next to me. We talked about Obama. These guys were Arabs and I asked them why they thought Michele Obama headed home following her visit in France instead of traveling on to Saudi Arabia and Turkey with her husband. They told me she couldn't go to Saudi Arabia , Turkey or Iraq . I said "Laura Bush went to Saudi Arabia , Turkey and Dubai ."

They said that Obama is a Muslim, and by Muslim law he would not be allowed to bring his wife into countries that accept Sharia Law. I just thought it was interesting that two Arabs at Blockbusters accept the idea that we're being led by a Muslim who follows the Islamic creed. They also said that's the reason he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia . It was a signal to the Muslim world..

Just thought you would like to know.

When I received this it made sense to me, but there were also a couple blank spots. Thus, I sent it to a friend who is a Middle Eastern Scholar and expert, Dr. Jim Murk. Here is his explanation that states a little clearer what the Arabs at Blockbuster were saying..

Have you wondered why Barack Hussein Obama has insisted that the U.S. Attorney General hold the trials for the 911 Murdering Muslims Terrorists in Civilian Courts as Common Criminals instead of as Terrorists who attacked the United States of America ?

Think about this: If the Muslim Terrorists are tried in Military Tribunals, convicted, and sentenced to DEATH by the Military Tribunal, BY LAW of the United States , Barack Hussein Obama, as President of the United States , would be required to SIGN their Death Warrants before they could be EXECUTED. He would not be required to sign the death warrants if sentenced to death by a Civilian Court . Think about the Muslim Jihadist, Major Hassan who slaughtered his fellow soldiers at Ft. Hood , Texas .. Major Hassan did not want to go to Afghanistan and be a part of anything that could lead to the deaths of fellow Muslims. He stated that Muslims could not and should not KILL FELLOW MUSLIMS.

Is the motive for Barack Hussein Obama's decision to make sure he doesn't have to sign the death warrants for the Muslim Terrorists? Why would he, as President of the United States , not want to sign the death warrants for Muslim Terrorists who attacked the United States and MURDERED over 3,000 innocent United States Citizens on 9/11? Could it be that he is FORBIDDEN BY HIS RELIGION to have anything to do with the execution of Muslims?
