Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that *most* the Yugos are not chrome lined. I believe this has changed a bit with the barrel import ban and more US barrels being utilized.
I think hispeed is right about the yugo barrels. JG has them for 490 Yugoslavian AK-47 Rifle M70AB2T with underfolder stock.
I had two of these when I served in the army...one was like this, but with wooden handle, and the other was non-folding, fixed. Fixed were always more accurate because they didn't move much once gripped well...
I don't think accuracy to an extreme is the allure of the AKs. Reliability in extremely dirty environments and firepower with acceptable accuracy at short to moderate range is. I lean to the AR platform in .308 win.
true...in my squad we never, ever had a misfire or jam. and it was really precise at short ranges, around 300-400 meters.
