One of these days I'm taking a battery apart and learning to build new plates and rebuilding from scratch. Anything they made in the early 1900s I should be able to make as well . no excuses.
We use to rebuild batteries aboard ship, but the plates, etc. were purchased from Exide specifically for those batteries we were working with. It is a thankless job.
