    I'd be inclined to substitute corrugated iron for the corrugated asbestos cement.....Given the known health hazards of asbestos, it's probably not a particularly good material to be using as a fallout shelter component, or to be working with.

    Agreed. In fact, that was one of the first things I noticed when I originally downloaded these files. Then, I made a point to look at the date on the file - 1962. Using asbestos, I imagine, was quite common back then.
