Have you ever wondered how Germany, given that it lost its ass in WWI and then the repercussions of the Great Depression, had one of the greatest military machines in history? Where did they get the money to fund the Third Reich?

I believe it was the Scourge of Georgia, General Sherman, who said "War is Hell."
We have allowed ourselves to think that 'modern war' is sanitised, clean and high tech. It still takes "boots on the ground" after the clean bit.......
And the civilians always lose no matter which side 'wins'......
