    I got plans for a crossbow from an old issue of Popular Mechanics or Popular Science that can be either wood or spring steel.

    I don't remember but these plans came out of a 40's/50's popular science or popular mechanics magazine. Wildbilly i'd like to see the plans you have, they may be an interesting design and maybe something to build.
