    Assuming Social Security benefits aren't dissolved by this time: If you die before retirement age (very likely at 80), the govt. just keeps your benefits. Given the statistical odds that you won't live much past 80 anyway, they wouldn't have to pay you that long. A win-win for them. I can't believe the people who come up with these scams can sleep at night.

    I am willing to give up any benefits right now to not have to pay any more into this Ponzi scheme going forward. It was genius to take all of this out of your paycheck. If you had to send payments yourself, at least you'd have the option to 'opt out.'
