The Navy knows only what research shows. But for sure, anyone that has spent more than a few minutes at sea knows rogues exist. Been there, "saw" a 60 footer in the north atlantic. Awesome. (Submarines are uniquely able to handle them, but one really wants to take them on the bow.)
