Rooster Method for Axe Sharpening

    I discovered this method for sharpening axes and found it to work a lot better than using a file or stone. Just makes it easier to stay true to the shape of the convex edge of an axe.

    I use one of those quick knife sharpeners.

    I will try it out too. Have a puck in the camp box that I have used for the axe. And strop at the end.

    I use a file, medium grit oil stone or a relatively flat rock… What ever is handy.

    This is a really good idea! I intend to give it a try as soon as I can pick up a sanding board like that at Home Depot.Thanks!
