Had a new steak place open in town that looked good so took DH for his birthday
Dident get many pictures but he had the lobster starter and I got the oysters.



Tomahawk steak with bone marrow butter (mine, 800ish g) and the bone marrow grilled onion. Thought I had a few more pix but cant find so... dh had filet steak, onion rings and sweet potato fries (and you would be correct if you thought those last to arnt very keto... but it was his birtday )

 

Red hot chicken wings, blue cheese dip and coleslaw




Pizza...
1 peperoni, seranno ham , salami, chillies and pineapple
2... (I think...) bacon, olives and shiitake mushrooms

 

Smoked Salmon and a sunnyside up goose egg (yeah, thats a full sized dinner plate)

@runswithdogs what is in the taco bowl? Looks like pork rinds in there.

 

Chicharrones. Same idea but much lighter & fluffier than pork rinds and no hard bits.

 

I googled it. It said it was fried pork skin, which is basically a pork rind. Have you ever made them?

 

Nah, easier to buy from my spice guy over here. There really not the same. Its more like deep fried pork fat (not the top layer of skin) and it fluffs up sorta like a cheeto in texture.

 

Pretty new batch of ghee. Why pay £6 for a tiny jar when you can make 4x as much for the same price



Dry rub slow cooked thick pork ribs finished on the bbq with bacon fried greens

 

so you use ghee more that butter?
it is super easy to make
just wondering how you use it?

 

Use both, but ghee usally for cooking. . Dont have to worry about it burning like butter will and can store on the counter.
Butter I use for bulletproof coffee and just general flavour... and then bone marrow butter for steaks (roasted bone marrow blended 50/50 with butter plus salt pepper and parsley or other herbs.....sooooooo gooood.)

Bacon cheese 1/2 lb+ burgers.

 

Seafood chowder (monkfish, scallops, prawns, smoked haddock, bacon) (no potatoes, just some neeps)

 

Picanha, chimmichurri and grilled asparagus salad
