I just got a BC355N and am wondering what the best way to program the private banks might be. I live in the piedmont of North Carolina and am interested in picking up the police and fire bands. When I just let it scan it picks up very little. The CB band brings in a lot of chatter but that is better for the road. Any advice will be appreciated

Keep in mind also that the 355N does not work with trunked systems or APCO25 digital systems...I would suggest going to radioreference.com and see what types of systems are in use in your locale. Good luck!

    Try
North Carolina Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
select your county. There is a mix of trunked and conventional systems.
Your manual will tell you how to enter the listed frequencies.
