WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of a hunter who uses his hovercraft to track moose along Alaska's Nation River.

The court on Tuesday unanimously threw out a lower court ruling that upheld enforcement of National Park Service rules banning the use of hovercraft on the river when it runs through the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve.

Chief Justice John Roberts' opinion for the court is a victory for hunter John Sturgeon, who has hunted moose in Alaska for nearly 40 years and uses a hovercraft to access shallow parts of the river.

But Roberts said lower courts need to sort out other issues in the case.

It all goes back to the Alaska State Lawsuit, that is in progress, NOW, about who has juresdiction, on Navigateable Waters, when inside National Parks & Refuges, where the Park Service does NOT own the Land that encompasses the Waters on Three Sides... The State contends that in such Waters, they have juresdicion, for ALL the Waters, FOR EVERYTHING, right up to the Banks, but NOT the Land... This was the way it was for many Years, but the Park Service has been, trying to take over those Waters, and say, they Have Juresdiction... ANYWHERE inside Park Boundries.... The SCOTUS Ruling states. NO, That is NOT THE CASE, but rather than get into, the wrangling, they sent it back to the District Court, to settle those issues, with the understanding, that the PARK Service, is WRONG, on what they were trying to impose...

You gots to understand, that this case came to SCOTUS from the 9th Circus Court of Appeals....

We have a government who is out of control. No matter if it is Alaska or Malheur. It is the moon bat nut jobs in DC who are wrong and out of control.

They need to have their leash pulled in tight before it is too late,

The left leaning SCOTUS ruled against big intrusive government and, dare I say, in favor of states rights?
You'd expect the neo-communist 9th circuit to rule in favor of the federal government consistently. Pretty much a given.
