I heard whispers of various plans for this administration going after retirement plans even before Lord Obama was elected by the dumb masses. . My immediate action was plans to clean out my IRA at age 59.5 without penalty as allowed by law. When I hit 59.5 I did just that. Some went into silver coins for the safe, and most is a homestead building/improvement and emergency fund. . I was not going to wait for this Socialist Fool in charge and his minions to try to get it. . To each his own, but I feel much safer this way. . The SEIU is welcome to my lead collection.
I had a nurse friend here, 62 years of age, lost her 401k in it's entirety... Somewhere in the $42,000 range...a bad choice by some "investor" that worked for her "union"....she was a nurse for over 35 years...now she has nothing. I think I'd be looking for that "investor" to see how much they pocketed, before the UNION got their shares! That sucks, and NO one is doing anything about these cons!
Florida currently has a proposal in the Legislature to ultimately reduce our state retirement by up to 40%, by various underhanded and likely illegal means. If this goes thru, some legislators may well be getting some angry 'visits'......... it's NOT smart to screw with people's retirement plans they have worked for and paid into for decades....... I can see this going 'Federal' too....... Their names and addresses are on public record.
