It reminds me of the speculation/predictions in the '60s about hoving cars, and various cool things like that, that were supposed to come about in the year 2000. "The paperless office" -- 'nuff said. What ever happened to the 20 hour work week that computers were supposed to help us attain? I remember in the '70s how everyone thought computers were sooo smart -- just the mention that something was modeled on a computer sent waves of awe through the listener ("...it must be true then?!"). Now the average user uses the computer to play the finest games and watch the most perverted pornography. Perhaps I'm just tired and need to shut down this mind-control device...
