Shooting War The book is now complete and commercially published. It no longer is available for a free read.
I like reading SHTF scenario novels and such. Some are outstanding like 'Lights Out' and I have even enjoyed some of the Zombie fictions. Biggest problem that I have though is finding them. There are multitudes of sites that host this type of fiction though when someone posts a few chapters they seem to fall off the face of the Earth. It can be years between posts, they never finish the stories or some such thing. I have a whole list of forums where threads are dedicated to these stories though I have only found a couple stories that were ever actually finished. Here's my story.... 'Once upon a time, zombies started attacking us....' Now wait only five more years and I'll post the rest of the sentence. Haha. I'm thinking maybe I'll try my hand at a story and when complete I'll post it. I always hated those cliff hanger movies. Who wants to wait for the rest of the story? I sure don't think I'm Paul Harvey. Haha. Just my thoughts on it.
Good points all. My promblem is a writer that starts a story and goes great guns for a few chapters then peters out in last chapters.....AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! Hint, don't even start if you can't finish. Hint #2, finish the story before you post. Then post a chapter once every few days. See? Now everyone is happy.
I just finished one that had "Flash" as the workig title on BWH Fiction forum. New title is "New Dark Age" We printed it up today and we'll send it along to the copywrite office on Monday to do the deed. It was over 200 pages of Word document pages, but I don't know how many pages it will be if it gets printed. I've started another with the title "The Stuarts" that I hope will be even batter. Hopefully, it will be three books long. jim
Trouble with some writers is, they don't know where they are going with their story. If you don't know the ending, don't start a story. In other words, my point is.........In the beginning, blah, blah, blah, duh... No point, no story.
I am thinking on writing a story. Have an idea though not really fleshed out yet. Any points of advice will be nice. I warn you now that I'm neither an English major nor a fast writer so it may be dooms day when finished, though I won't bait anyone with tidbits as that is just retahded. Later.
This link is now to a purchase site. The book is complete and commercially published. No free read it as it's written exists here. I have not read any portion of the book or have a recomendation pro or con.
