when will this Stop? What will it take to stop it? It’s not about guns,it’s about stupid crazy people who need to be put somewhere. Maybe abortion is not such a bad idea after all,no age limit. We did not have this back years ago, what’s changed? The answer is we were raised to know better and had good parents who taught us . I have had my own guns since my first B.B. gun at six and my first .22 rev at nine. I’m 76 and none of my guns have ever hurt anyone thatiknow of. I raised two boys who are now in their fifty’s ,one is a gunnut like me and the other not. Neither of them have hurt or shot anyone. My daddy would have beat the shit out of me if I had even thought about hurting someone with anything but my fists. Our country is in for deep trouble and will not survive if things don’t change soon.

Govt building = gun free zone = sitting ducks.
Some (maybe a lot) of it will stop when we allow folks the right of defending their own lives instead of pretending stupid signs and half ass security procedures will stop someone from doing these things.

I throw the blame in three places: The media, for sensationalizing these events and making the shooter infamous; The film industry, for making movies like the John Wick series that make killing people cool; Video games, for rewarding a player for killing. Combined, this has made less than stable folks see killing as a way to elevate themselves to a higher status. I don't put much of the blame on parents, because I know (at my age) how we were raised and we wouldn't have raised kids to be this way.

@oldman11, I think of this often, and have noted the changes as well.
The only thing I've seen that works a a local level is education. Easy for me, since I live within "the gun culture" at the range, but I invite folks out who have never handled a firearm, and teach safe handling and basic marksmanship.

I remember the biggest factor that kept me in line as a kid was what Grandma would think if I got in trouble.

I graduated from high school forty years ago. I built and fitted shotgun and rifle stocks in the school wood shop and carried guns to school on the bus. Mr Proper, my elderly bus driver took no crap from kids. You'd sit down and shut up or he'd stop the bus and make you.

We had Hunter Education classes in school and everybody learned safe firearm handling.

One big difference between my school years and those of my kids is that 80% of my teachers were men, and with only one exception, were veterans. Gym, math, science, english, wood, metal, auto shop, and drafting were all taught by men. We respected these men, and I can still remember the whole class being surprised when mild mannered Mr Rucker, our science teacher took off his suit coat in class one hot day. (yes, it was suit and tie for teachers in the classroom) He was built like Superman! He looked like he could beat up the gym teacher who looked like Jack Lalanne. My Auto shop teacher, Mr Gee amazed us all when he spun the shops donated Corvette around in the parking lot in a tire smoking spin and slid it right into a parking spot... backwards! Mr Coffin taught small engine repair and let me bring some not--so-small one lungers in from the farm. He'd served in Vietnam, and was married to Mrs Coffin, my creative writing teacher. They were a cute couple, and everybody liked them. When Mr Coffin and Mr Gee learned that I'd joined.the Marine Corps, they joked about me being a "lifer."

By the 90s the only male teachers I encountered here were the gym and music teachers and schools here have no shop classes at all.

So your kid goes to school and while there never learns how to operate a table saw or planer, never gets under the hood of a car, tunes a lawn mower, learns how to read a micrometer or use a level. They never learn firearm safety, don't have to change into gym.clothes and shower after gym class. They have no male role models and strong boys who enjoy tough physical games outside and play rough are called bullies.

I'm pleased that all the kids are out of school now, and when I needed one to stay with Grandma during Hurricane Florence he showed up with his BOB, his 1911 and his M4 clone, ready for duty.

If nothing else, we can take a kid to the range. :)

A bunch of the glamor goes out of the video game killing and movie violence when.you bury your first warm gut pile. Hunting teaches powerful lessons when you're 8-12 years old.

Lessons like "If you kill it, you're going to eat it."
    "You can't bring that bullet.back."
"Always treat a gun as if it is loaded."

How many mass shooters are deer hunters?

Maybe one, but that goes back to a tower in Texas.

UncleMorgan I like peeling bananas and (occasionally) people.

People who go on killing sprees do not always use guns. The ones who do get the most press because certain totalitarian elements in our government want the populace disarmed. That being said, the shooters may be crazy but they are not stupid. They pick soft targets in "gun-fee zones" or other unarmed groups such as schoolchildren or church congregations because they want to have the most fun for the least cost.

There is one absolutely certain way to stop "mass shooters": arm the masses.

If everyone--and I do mean everyone--was armed, mass shooters would die the instant they pulled their gun.

    End of problem.

They would die so fast they wouldn't even be able to inspire copy-cats.

Back in the Day--BC in my case--the schools used to show a movie called "Death on the Highway" to high-school students taking Driver's Ed. It was graphic. They advised you not to eat lunch just before watching it.

In that movie they pulled no punches: They showed death as it was, without blurring out the grisly corpses. It was a dose of Reality, straight-up, with no molly-coddling.

I don't know how many lives tat movie saved, but it had to be in the tens of thousands. I very much doubt that it is still being showed today: death is not Politically Correct--except when it can be used by the anti-gun agendi.

Show school children exactly what happens when someone dies by the gun, and they will probably choose not to die that way. That includes many would-be suicides as well as fad-murderers.

Unfortunately, there won't be any reality classes in our government schools that inspire children to avoid using guns in an unlawful (and self-defeating) manner.

That would interfere with the process of brainwashing then into servile obedience--specifically the kind that eliminates the chance that they might ever fight to be free.

"This is your Collar. Do not attempt to remove it."

I hope I live long enough to see every loyal American packing heat on the street, exactly as they are entitled by God to do so.

The Second Amendment does not create that Right--it merely recognizes it.

Unlike the stereotype Hollywood plot, never in the history of the United States has a gang of outlaws ever "treed" a town in the old Wild West.

Back then, everyone was armed, and knew when and how to use their weapons. And everyone was a veteran of the long ride West.

Any gang stupid enough to try it would have been shot to doll rags.

That's what happened to the Dalton Gang, and they were just trying to rob a small-town bank.

Freedom grows from the barrel of a gun.

Don't let news articles shape your view of the whole country. Small towns are a lot different also. (somewhat normal) Local kids go deer hunting and sometimes wear camo clothes to school. They even print photos of people with their deer they shot in the local paper. There are the low lifes raised by gangster thug parents, I am just talking about what i see and am told about by my kids. These gangsta wannabe kids tend to get suspended a lot. Telling others that their family will come by and kill your family doesn't fly too well. I do see dumb white boys trying to come across as thugs. I blame music and videos and their parents. I told my kids there is a difference in being money poor and poor in spirit.

    And...................
To take this further, note all the Hyper Red areas are also showing the largest disparity of income, largest disparity of race, and the highest cost of living! They also show the lowest education levels!
One can even dig further and find that these areas also have the largest populations of single parent families and some other factors I will not list here as they could be considered as sort of racist!

    Spot on.
Socialist policies ALWAYS create the most difference between the haves and have nots by design. Capitalist policies empower those who want to advance themselves by giving them the freedom to do so.

Well at least BLM can't blame this one on the last known white member of the KKK in the state. No photos of shooter on main stream media, little comment in official statements, etc. Move on boys, nothing to see here.

Why don't you do some of the heavy lifting in validating the claims in the meme, rather than just making the minimal effort of simply copying and pasting from some other site and inviting others to do the detective work for you???

I dont agree with this assumption. Maybe the most deaths has to do with the largest population centers. Human don't live well together in close spaces

I have no link... I requested that anyone with any KNOWLEDGE about such or links to respond!!!!

I do NOT see what is reported as FACT... thus the QUESTION at the TOP of the post.

I do NOT know if what is portrayed is true... thought the sentence at the TOP of the post said that.

By posting the meme as QUESTIONABLE I thought that was covered?

Looked and see little of anything regarding the issue which suggested there may be a effort to avoid giving full information on the subject...

can find little... about most of it...
