I shoot more .308 than anything. Most of my favorites are in that caliber.
The first is sort of a mystery, since Springfield Armory has no record of it and Elmer Ballence says he didn't build it. The serial number is what sets it apart, well that and the fact that it is the sweetest shooting M1A that I ever saw. The second rifle is a Federal Ordnance M14 National Match with a titanium Sadlak mount and a mil-dot glass. The Savage model 10 is a real tack-driver too and I absolutely love that Leupold mil-dot glass. The FN Fal is an STG58 that I built from a kit with a DSA receiver. I enjoy shooting it so much that I haven't had time to take it back down to bead-blast and parkerize but we'll get around to it soon.

Seems someone has a thing for m14's A savage too with the accutrigger, nice. What is the bottom rifle ? Looks like a .308 but I don't recognize it. Is it a stamped steel version of the FN ? Also kinda looks like maybe an eastbloc design, I'm thinking that way because of the gas tube on top of the barrel.

That's the Cadillac of FN Fals, the Austrian STG58.

Wow really ? from looking at it's stamped steel components and it's gas tube on top of barrel I imagine the m14's can be made more accurate. But I guess for what it was built to be used for the lightness that stamped steel affords was more important. How much did that thing run you ?

Geez, nevermind I just noticed it has a pistol grip, can't have it in komifornia.

Next I want to get a semi auto in 223 or 308 to cover those instances where I need to be showing out lead a bit faster than the bolts will. :D
